The Universal  Declaration of Human Rights was a step forward. But we have stepped beyond it. Now we need a set of Rights for the World.

Humans do not own anything in the world because it was all here before humans ever existed.

How can a private company own oil that is millions of years old? If money is going to be made by the exploitation of natural resources, companies are entitled to take their share of profit for their costs and effort. After that they must pay royalties: to the country from where it came, to the people living there, and also royalties to the world. This will create a fund for the world and all that lives within, human, animal, plant or mineral. A lump of coal was created by millions of years of effort on nature’s part. She is due her royalty payment on that.
